The locality is not only a reconstruction of an 8th century Slavic hillfort but above all a significant archaeological site. Until 1978, only sporadic excavations have been conducted at this site. \u00a0Since then, archaeologists led by Pavel Kou\u0159il from the Institute of Archaeology of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Brno have returned to the hillfort every year.
